We always have a lot of mouthpiece talk among trumpet players. Recently the talk has changed its tone. The talk now is about what is happening in pro line trumpets versus the standard "go to" horns. The German made B&S "Challenger" is becoming quite a player in trumpet sales in our showroom. We have a handful of Strad's in stock and a used Sonare and Besson by Kanstul. In play-by-play comparison the Challenger keeps coming out on top. This trumpet is a direct copy of the Bach with the #37 bell. The B&S model number 3137 shows that is what they were striving for. This has become a popular horn on the Indiana University Bloomington campus and around Indy.
